Carp Pro Ram XD Carp Rods are the updated flagship series of Carp Pro rods, designed to completely redefine your expectations of long-distance casting and the reliability of carp tackle. High-modulus Toray 55T carbon, combined with a new matte 1K carbon finish and a slim blank diameter, delivers excellent flexibility and exceptionally fast recovery speed. The rod loads perfectly and then instantly releases the stored energy, sending the rig to astonishing distances. During the cast, a large portion of the blank comes into play. When playing a fish, the rod is capable of handling trophy carp of any size while minimizing the risk of losing the fish. The stronger the fish’s resistance, the more of the blank is engaged in action. The Carp Pro Ram XD series includes four models with a length of 3.9 m (13 ft). All rods are two-piece, feature an extra-fast action, and are equipped with lightweight, high-quality American Tackle TiForged Air guides with enlarged diameters, mounted in black anti-tangle frames with thin black metal inserts that are resistant to wear from both monofilament lines and braided lines. Thanks to the thin metal inserts, the inner diameter of the guides is larger than that of ceramic guides, which reduces line friction and significantly increases casting distance. In addition, the extremely low weight of the new guides makes the rod action even faster. All Ram XD rods feature a 50 mm butt guide and a 16 mm anti-tangle tip guide with a black Nanolite™ ceramic insert. The lightest model, with a 3.5 lb test curve, is optimized for rigs weighing up to 128 g. The middle model does not specify a test curve but instead features an optimal casting weight range of 3–5 oz (85–142 g). The spod rod with a 5.5 lb test curve is designed for casting bait rockets weighing up to 200 g (including bait). The most powerful spod model has a 7 lb test curve and is intended for rockets weighing up to 300 g (including bait). Both spod rods are also suitable for marker use and feature 6- and 12-inch markings (15 and 30 cm) on the blank. All models in the Ram XD series are equipped with 70 cm split handles and reliable Skeleton-type reel seats – Fuji TVSTS with a lacquered finish.
